For everyday face and body moisturizing, brings an all-natural radiant glow. Great on cuts, bruises, scars, wrinkles, age spots, and dry itchy patches. Also helpful for bites, burns, rashes, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
Three simple ingredients with miraculous properties:
-
Castor Oil - Ricinus communis
The oil of the castor bean has been a medicinal and beauty aid since antiquity. Native to northeastern Africa, it has been found in Egyptian tombs more than six thousand years old! Castor oil consists mostly of ricinoleic acid (RA), a unique essential fatty acid that stimulates healing activities in the body. By upregulation of prostaglandin E2, RA enhances the mobility of lymphatic vessels, thereby promoting cellular detoxification and rejuvenation.1,2 It also has unique pain-relieving effects similar to capsaicin (the spicy chemical in chili peppers) but without the heat.3 Additionally, castor oil has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal effects.4
-
Frankincense - Boswellia serrata
Revered by the ancients for its mystical aroma, frankincense stimulates skin regeneration and movement of lymph. Frankincense also has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that promote wound healing.5,6
-
Beeswax - Cera alba
Known for its golden color and sweet smell, beeswax is cherished for its moisturizing and antimicrobial properties.7 Ancient Egyptians used beeswax for both magical and cosmetic purposes, seeing it as a gift from the solar deity.
